Ever wonder about how light moves? What does it mean to study the smallest particles known to man? How does science measure the smallest particles in the world, such as atoms, protons, neutrons and electrons? What is ether and how did it become a source of debate in the scientific community? Studying the smallest particles known to man can be exciting work. This study of the world on the molecular level, particularly matter and energy, is the realm of Quantum Physics. Scientists use mathematical equations to help them explain the behavior of matter and energy within the Universe. If you have a curiosity about the world of Quantum Physics, but thought the science textbooks would be too much to absorb, this book is for you. With an overview of what Quantum Physics is, historical background into the scientists who created many of the theories that make up Quantum Physics, and a look at a few of those theories. Quantum Physics is more than the study of matter and energy, but dives into the behavior of matter and energy on a molecular level. Scientists use the information they gather through experiments, observation and continually more precise measuring tools to explain how the building blocks of our world work together. This book dives into a discussion of wave particle duality and how this theory has continued to mystify scientists even today. Or learn how a particle can appear to go through the wall, versus around it. Using light as an example, this book explains how wave particle duality was discovered, who was able to explain the multiple conflicting observations and finally, what scientists have used this information to create. Learn about Einstein and his disagreements with the scientists of his time over various theories in Quantum Physics. Get a better understanding of how theories within Quantum Physics relate to one another. Receive a basic understanding of the Unified Force Theory and how science is still working to prove this unique all-encompassing theory.

If Amazon would refund on ebooks, I would definitely request it on this!Having just reread both "The Tao of Physics" and "The Dancing Wu Li Masters", I was hungry for more up-to-date material on current quantum physics. However, I find this book to be HORRIBLE. In addition to being full of typos, which others have mentioned, he doesn't explain anything - just starts using concepts with nothing even close to an adequate background. The author reminds me of a couple of instructors I had way back in college; they knew what they were talking about, but they had no clue how to convey that material to students in a comprehensible manner.
Amazon, how about a REFUND?!?

Quantum Physics Beginner Guide to the Most Amazing Physics Theories (Audible Audio Edition) Jared Hendricks Steve Taylor Books Reviews
This is a very useful guide for the beginner's.If you have a curiosity about the world of Quantum Physics, but thought the science textbooks would be too much to absorb, this book is for you.I hope this book is able to help you very much.
Before I start I should mention that I’m a retired Theoretical Physicist; that said, I love this book. Also the book is written for non Physicists as well. There are no complicated mathematics you have to worry about. Anyone interested will enjoy this book.
I yet have to find a good introduction to quantum physics. This is definitely not one.
Catchwords get slung about rather carelessly with no attempts at proper definitions. I got the impression that the author was freewheeling over reminiscences from popularizing works rather than sharing personal knowledge rooted in mathematical familiarity and intuition. About 30% through the book comes the first equation, with no justification or explanation.
Anyone serious about understanding the basic concepts would be better served by turning to a college-level physics textbook.
As far as I'm concerned, the best introduction to quantum physics I've read is still the couple of chapters devoted to it in an older (and unexpensive) edition of Giancoli's physics textbook.
The well informed person cannot avoid the inevitable task of updating their knowledge of advances in physics, a field that has not only impacted energy, electromagnetism, but also created new subdisciplines such as quantum mechanics, string theory, and the most fascinating revisions of theories of light, gravity, time, gravity and many others. This book is well written and probably a lot easier to understand than your college text. Still, I recommend the reader streams one or more videos from the website (one produced by PBS and has top physicists participating). Unless you are working in the field these well done videos are a must. The information presented in this book is often misinterpreted by some energy healers who do not understand the complexity and fragility of the newest theories. For health care clinicians, knowledge of physics sufficient to communicate with health physicists will be increasingly important in practice.
The content itself is fine, but the grammar mistakes get into the territory of impossible to interpret meaning in at least one sentence every couple chapters or so. Quantum physics is hard enough to figure out without having to also figure out what the author is saying. Not something I'd expect from a third edition. At least it was cheap.
I like Physics and I'm looking for new information about discoveries and exploring on this subject. I bought this guide to get more information about Quantum Physics. From this book I learned what Quantum Physics is, wave particle duality, quantum tunnelling, quantum entanglements, optics and electrodynamics, black body radiation, photoelectric effect and much more useful and important information. I found this guide very informative and interesting. It is described in the simple language and easy to understand. I got so much information on all my questions. I liked this book very much and I highly recommend it to anyone who is fond of Physics.
I like to learn something new, especially in the sciences. I also like to watch sci-fi movies and read scientific books, most of which are absolutely incomprehensible, unless you are the owner of a scientific degree. But, while reading this book, I began to understand the meaning of the theories described here. It is written in accessible language, so if you want to expand your knowledge in physics - grab this book!
If would refund on ebooks, I would definitely request it on this!
